ContentPropane has a built-in feature. In the unlikely event of a leak, it's easy to detect it as the gas smells like rotten eggs. This is because a safety odorant called ethyl mercaptan is added to propane.
Additionally, propane turns into a vapour that does not harm the soil, air or aquifers. It dissipates quickly into the atmosphere and only requires a small amount of air movement to disperse.*
